President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday directed relevant officials to take immediate measures to effect the payment of all arrears of salaries to the Salu Sala staff before the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The President issued this directive at a meeting held at Temple Trees to resolve problems confronting the Salu Sala. The Salu Sala has encountered serious problems regarding its future existence owing to the wrong management decisions taken by the previous regime it was revealed at this meeting, a Presidential Media Unit release said.
