Lay down arms and surrender: Military tells LTTE

Utilising public address systems this morning (Apr. 8), the Sri Lanka military called upon the remaining Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) cadres holed up in the government declared ‘No Fire Zone’ at Puthumataalan to lay down their arms and surrender while letting the civilians to cross over to army held areas, said Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.
